We are a small-batch craft brewery that brews on contract in Chicago and Milwaukee. Our focus is to deliver the freshest beers to the Chicago community featuring the highest quality grains, yeasts and adjuncts from a curated group of partners domestically and internationally, with an emphasis on sourcing from Indian farmers and small business owners.

Since our commercial launch during Diwali 2020, we have released over 35 Indian-inspired beers. To ensure freshness we brew in small-batches and frequently rotate production, at any given time you will at least find three styles available.

Our founders Bhavik Modi and Raymond “Gator” Strand have been friends for almost two decades. Gator studied Brewing Science at Cincinnati State University and has worked for some of the top craft brewers in the Midwest. Bhavik Modi is passionate about Indian history, culture and culinary traditions, he is currently pursuing his own brewing education. Azadi Brewing Company was founded in Gator’s garage but has since grown to a hyperlocal craft brewing brand with support from family, friends and supporters in the Chicago craft beer community.

Our beers are available at most bottle shops in Chicago along with several partners in the suburbs, including select Whole Foods locations. As all of our beers are inspired by the culinary traditions of India, we work with restaurant partners across Chicagoland. We encourage you to call ahead to confirm availability or request that Azadi beers be carried at your favorite shopping and dining locations. We appreciate your support!

We participate in several Chicagoland beer festivals, conduct tastings at our retail partners and attend local industry events.
